Data Protection

The UK Sports Institute (UKSI) takes data protection legislation seriously.

On this page you can find out how you can exercise any of your rights, including the right to access your personal data, which is more commonly known as a subject access request (SAR); under the UK General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (the UK GDPR).

Alternatively, if you wish to make a request for information held by the UK Sports Institute that is not personal data, this will fall under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the FOIA) and you can find out how to do this here.

How do I make a request under the Data Protection legislation?
If you wish to make a request to the UK Sports Institute in respect of any of your rights – such as the right to access your personal data – requests can be made in writing to the UK Sports Institute DPO in the following ways:

By Post: The DPO, Manchester Institute of Health & Performance, 299 Alan Turing Way, Manchester M11 3BS.

By Email: dataprotection@uksportsinstitute.co.uk

If you’d prefer to speak to somebody, please drop us an email advising of this, so a call may be arranged.

There is guidance on how to prepare a SAR on the ICO’s website here.

Feedback
If you have any feedback and/or questions about data protection at the UK Sports Institute, please contact the UK Sports Institute’s Data Protection Officer (‘DPO’) using the details set out above.
